Observed on the 7th month of the lunar calendar, Obon (お盆) is a 3-day annual ritual for remembering and honoring our ancestors. It is believed that each year during Obon, spirits return to this world in order to visit their relatives.Hingan festivals, which usually happen in the summer, are filled with fun, local food and treats, various games, and music to enjoy!Hosted by Senpan Tea House and her Affiliates, we welcome you to celebrate with us as a fun way to end the summer season!

Kingyo sukui is perhaps the most played festival game in The Far East, where the player scoops goldfish with a tool made of thin Hingan paper called "poi." This is an RP challenge involving use of the /random command. Please read the how-to, a tell will also be sent ingame with instructions.If you roll a winning number, you pass and "finish" the drink, and a reward/prize will follow.Use the /random command to publicly roll a random number from 1-1,000.

The prize is gil, varying depending on winning roll (if won).If the number is a 'straight' (eg: 123, 456, 321, 654), you win that number x1,000 worth.
Ascending and Descending straights win.

Daruma Otoshi

Daruma Otoshi is a traditional game played with a daruma doll in five pieces (although for simplification, we are doing three). The game is played by using a smaller hammer to hit each of the colored pieces, from bottom to the top, without letting the pieces above fall. The game is won when all the pieces below the top Carbuncle piece have been knocked away, and the Carbuncle remains standing.

How to Play

Roll a random number from 1-100, you must roll a 50+ to successfully knock each of the three pieces, a roll of less of 49 will signify the Carbuncle piece falling over. You must knock all three pieces successfully in order to win the grand prize. Games will be taken place within a party with Staff Members.

Omikuji

As opposed to the Heavensturn fortunes recently introduced to Eorzean shores, kaki omikuji instead features handpicked waka--traditional Hingan poetry by Taizanro-jingu's wisest monks expressing their heartfelt feelings towards the people and the realm. Although they do not speak of good or bad luck, they pray the poems' messages find meaning in the hearts of their recipients.

Visitors are free to pay their respects or pray to the fragment of a kami residing within this dashi.Miss Hong will be more than happy to assist in Hingan prayer etiquette.
